TIME: FROM 5 JULY 2024 TO 13 JULY 2024

Día 1 - Sightseeing of Van Area

Meeting with your guide at the airport in Van, from where we will drive to visit the beautiful Van Castle. From the city center, we will drive 33 km to the ferry terminal and take a short cruise to Akdamar Island on Lake Van. We will see the Church of the Holy Cross, an Armenian church built between 915 and 921 AD. After visiting Akdamar Island, we will drive back to Van and check into our hotel.

Dinner and overnight in Van.

Día 2 - Hiking on Mount Çat (Cat Dağı)

After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to Gurpinar, at the foot of Mount Çat. We will ascend to the summit (approx. 3,140 m), rest, take photos, and return to the pickup point. We will then drive back to the hotel in Van. Dinner and overnight in Van.

Día 3 - Ascent to Mount Artos Summit (3,515 m)

After an early breakfast and packing all luggage into the minibus (we will stay at a different hotel tonight), we will drive to Gevaş, at the foot of Mount Artos. We will begin the ascent to the summit, offering breathtaking views of Lake Van and the surrounding area. After a break for photos, we will descend to our minibus and drive to Tatvan. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Tatvan.

Día 4 - Hiking on Nemrut Caldera, Transfer to Doğubayazıt

After breakfast, we will drive to the foot of Mount Nemrut Caldera (approx. 2,950 m) and start our trek to the west side of the Crater Lake, climbing to the summit. After descending, we will drive to Doğubayazıt. Dinner and overnight there.

Día 5 - From Doğubayazıt to Ararat Camp 1

After breakfast, we will pack our gear and drive to Cevirme Village, near the foot of Mount Ararat. Porters will load our luggage onto horses, and we will start trekking to Camp 1 (Base Camp) at 3,200 m. At the camp, we will have lunch, enjoy tea, and pitch our tents. Rest and dinner.

Overnight at Camp 1.

Día 6 - Ascent to Ararat Camp 2

We’ll have breakfast at Camp 1, pack our gear, and ascend to Camp 2 at 4,200 m. Horses will carry our luggage. At Camp 2, we’ll have lunch, pitch tents, and prepare our equipment for the next day’s summit ascent.

Día 7 - Ascent to Ararat Summit and Return to Camp 1

We will wake up early (usually between 1–2 a.m.), have breakfast and hot drinks, and take packed lunches and tea. After checking our gear (headlamps, crampons, trekking poles, etc.), we’ll begin the summit climb. We expect to reach the summit in 5–7 hours. After a short break and photos on the summit, we’ll descend to Camp 2 (4,200 m), rest briefly, then continue descending to Camp 1 (3,200 m).

Día 8 - Return to Doğubayazıt and Sightseeing

After breakfast, we’ll pack up and descend to the pickup point, then return to our hotel in Doğubayazıt. After some rest and lunch, we’ll visit Ishak Pasha Palace (an important 17th-century Ottoman palace), and the Durupinar site (believed by some to be the 'footprint' of Noah’s Ark). Optionally, we can visit a traditional Turkish bath (hamam). Dinner.

Overnight at a hotel in Doğubayazıt.

Día 9 - Transfer to the Airport

In the morning, we will have breakfast at the hotel. Depending on your departure time, we will transfer you to the airport in Van, Ağrı, or Iğdır.
