Visit the Marangu falls, go swimming and experience stunning landscapes.

Marangu Village, is about 40 minutes driving from Moshi town, located in the beautiful country side surrounded by lush landscapes and beautiful plantations of bananas, yams, potatoes and coffee, where you will find this hidden waterfall. The falls are situated on the foothills of the Kilimanjaro and the source of its water comes directly from the glacier on the top of the mountain. The surrounding fine area supports growth of various trees species and vegetation.

At the base of Kilimanjaro, Marangu waterfall is one of the most popular but not the highest waterfalls in the area. A 35 minutes hike and beautiful walk will enable you to see the waterfall both from the bottom and the top and you will have an opportunity to relax amongst tranquil nature and swim in the cool waters if you wish.

Activities

In the morning, you will be picked from your hotel in Moshi and take you to Marangu, which lies in the fertile hills of Kilimanjaro where a village guide will be waiting for you and bring you first of all to the Chagga Live Museum, where you will get a deep insight in the traditional lifestyle of this agricultural society and also the family history.

Our guide will then lead you through the coffee and banana plantations to a spectacular waterfall. On the way, he will tell you and point out the fauna and flora of the region.
